Supplier price updates for Shopify agencies
A new supplier list arrives. Feedstead compares it with your client's Shopify export, applies your pricing rules, and gives you proposed changes to review before import.
For agencies and catalogue freelancers handling recurring CSV or Excel price lists across client stores. Files stay in your browser. No store connection is required.
Open Feedstead and choose “Try an example” →
The example is free, with no signup or card. You can also compare and export your own supplier lists with up to 200 rows free.
See what happens to every row
The built-in example contains six supplier rows and five existing Shopify variants. It uses USD, a 50% markup on supplier cost, nearest-cent rounding, and a 25% selling-price review threshold. Both files use the same currency, tax basis and unit of sale.
| SKU | Current price | Proposed price | Review outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
0001 |
18.00 | 18.00 | Cost changes from 10.00 to 12.00; price stays the same |
0002 |
18.00 | 16.50 | Cost and price change |
LIN-001 |
24.00 | 24.00 | Cost changes from 15.00 to 16.00; price stays the same |
GLS-020 |
30.00 | 52.50 | 75% price increase; individual approval required |
NEW-007 |
— | — | No exact catalogue match; excluded from the update |
OAK-003 |
42.00 | 42.00 | No change |
These are illustrative products from the downloadable example files. Markup is added to cost: 11.00 × 1.50 gives 16.50. It is different from a 50% profit margin.
Your update CSV contains the selected changes and preserves sibling variants under affected product handles. The large vase price increase stays out unless you approve it. The unmatched basket is not created as a new product.
Your complete change report accounts for all six supplier rows, including the unchanged tray and the unmatched basket. Keep the report alongside the update when reviewing a client job.

Keep each client's rules ready for the next list
In Workspace, save a client profile and a supplier configuration containing your column mapping, decimal convention, markup, rounding and review threshold. When the next list arrives, load those settings and check the new file's headers and pricing assumptions before comparing.
Profiles and settings stay in the current browser. Export a configuration backup to move them to another browser or device. They do not sync automatically between teammates.

Keep control of the import
Feedstead prepares price and cost updates for existing products matched by exact SKU. It does not create products, monitor supplier feeds, update inventory or write to your Shopify store. Keep a fresh store backup, review the exported changes and check Shopify's import preview before confirming.
For column requirements and variant handling, see the import guide. For a question about whether the workflow fits, contact feedstead@proton.me. You can describe your file structure without sending client data.
